This webinar will provide an overview of trade, investment and nutrition, and discuss implications for pressing global nutrition challenges, including the nutrition transition, nutrition climate nexus and food safety, and opportunities to strengthen engagement and policy coherence. Trade and Investment Agreements directly impact on global, national and local food systems and have had both positive and negative implications for nutrition. Trade and Investment Agreements also influence governments’ freedom to regulate at the national level; particularly the design of nutrition policy measures and have implications for regulating commercial determinants of health. Considering interfaces between trade, investment and nutrition can support strategic policy design.
